Manufacturers: Toshiba
Toshiba is a Japanese manufacturer of a wide range of industrial and domestic electrical and electronics products. It was created from the merger in 1939 of Shibaura Seisakusho and Tokyo Denki, forming a new company called Tokyo Shibaura Denki (Tokyo Shibaura Electric). It began to be known as Toshiba, although the company changed its name to Toshiba Corporation only relatively recently in 1978.
Like most electronics manufacturers, Toshiba was involved in manufacturing pocket calculators during the boom period of the late 1970"s and early 1980s.
