Factory.prp Update
If you are using Calc Version 5.6 or later, you can download the
latest properties file containing up-to-date conversions. If you are
using the older
Calc Version 5.3 we do not recommend downloading this file because
some of the conversions use new features that are not supported in
version 5.3. The
file was last updated

Right-click on this link
and select "Save As" or "Save Target As" from the menu. Then save the
file to your Calc directory. Usually this will be something like
C:\\Program Files\\Calc98*. If you have a file "default.prp" in
this directory it means you have at some time saved custom conversions
and constants. You will
need to rename this file to something else to prevent Calc from loading
this file instead of the new properties database file. If
you have added your own conversions or constants you may need to add
these again.
Alternatively, you can update your properties without deleting your
existing properties data by following the procedure below, depending on
the version of Calc you
are using.
If you get a page of gobbledegook it means you have followed the link to the
file and displayed it in your browser instead of downloading it.
Calc Version 5.3 for Windows:
Click on the Opt button and select the Data tab. Click on the Load
Properties button and choose the file you just downloaded and click on
the Load button. When
the file has loaded click on the Save Properties button and type
"default" as the file name and make sure it is saved to your Calc
directory. This will ensure that the properties, which now include the
updated data, will always be loaded when you start Calc. You can now
close the Options dialog
box. You should now have updated data.
Calc Version 5.6 for Windows:
Select Load Properties from the File menu and select the file you just
downloaded. Use the Save Properties option from the File menu and and

ensure that the properties, which now include the updated data,
will always be loaded when you start Calc. You should now have updated
data.
